Located just a few hundred metres from the city’s world-famous cathedral, the hotel is a protected building which formerly served as the monastery of San Francisco. Experience the rich history of these surroundings with a stay within the San Francisco Hotel Monumento’s thick stones walls and cloisters. The hotel combines ancient monumental features, such as stained-glass windows, with contemporary design and facilities. These include an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, as well as spacious covered courtyards and a gourmet restaurant set in the former monastery dining room.

Food & beverage

The "Comedor Monumental" an excellent beautiful lounge for banquets, was the ancient refectory of the monastery. Gastronomy bases its offer on a very selected traditional Galician cooking, with products which come from the vegetable gardens of Herbon and Santiago de Compostela.

Area information

The medicine faculty, San Martin Pinario Monastery and the Galician Auditorium are in the neighbourhood.

Travel information

By Motorway A9 taking the North exit and going to the Historic Centre. At the end of Xoan XXIII Avenue and beside the San Francisco Church.
